Nothing brings me more joy than capturing the genuine emotions of my subjects and freezing their most precious moments in time. — Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, I’ve seen the usual and the less than usual growing up. Once I learned how to use a camera, I wanted to capture all of it. Even with over 20 years of professional photography experience, I have learned that what I love to photograph is everchanging. Some say it is important to find your niche and stick to doing one thing well. While I agree to some extent, I also find that just like the world is constantly changing, I have to allow myself to grow and change as well. At one point in my life I was fond of wedding photography. Then, as a mother, I fell in love with maternity photoshoots. At present, I have been really enjoying branding photography. As an entrepreneur it is easy to be inspired by individuals who have a business that they allow me to have a part in promoting. It is so exciting to be on that journey with them. Whether I am providing images for their new website, or updating photos for them to use in their advertising online, it is a privilege be trusted to capture how they want to present themselves to the world. Although I have had to adjust to the evolving world of photography, I still strive to give my clients what they want while not compromising on my goal as a photographer - to give my clients images they can love now, and look back on with fondness in the future. Here’s my why: As a middle child, I don’t have many photos of myself as a baby. However, one of my fond memories is going through my grandmother’s old photo albums. Few though they were, I loved that I could see my younger self in there. I also got to know my family tree through those photos. With life becoming more and more digital, I still want the portraits I deliver to my clients to be something they can hold onto and look back on with pride. Since they say the internet is forever, my plan has succeeded.
